Recently, our winemaker Keith Rolle returned to his hometown of Duluth to release his Platinum award-winning 2018 Blaufränkisch at the Kitchi Gammi Club.

It was a wonderful evening, and one of our guests included Jay Gabler, an arts and entertainment reporter with the Duluth News Tribune.

We were elated to welcome him for the evening to enjoy our Blaufränkisch among many other wines, which were paired with small-plate creations courtesy of Executive Chef Chris Stetson.

Gabler published a column on the night itself as well as featured the unique cross-country connection of Duluth, Minnesota to San Diego, California. He did a phenomenal job capturing the essence of Gianni Buonomo Vintners!

Check out the article! It’s a great read – Our personal favorite line: “…the Northlanders who turned out last week to support their local rink rat-turned-Mataro maven were clearly glad to reconnect with Rolle and his roster of mail-order wines.”

And once you finish reading the feature, head on into the winery to get a taste of our new releases like our Platinum award-winning 2018 Blaufränkisch [will not be available in the winery until September 21] or our gold medal winners – 2018 Petite Sirah and 2018 Barbera.

Don’t live near the winery? Order some wine online or consider joining our wine club!
