Fedora Club and Gold Band Club March 2018 Allocation

I want to say thank you for your loyalty to Gianni Buonomo and for being a member of Gianni Buonomo Vintners. This February we celebrated a two-year anniversary in our new Ocean Beach winery. Without members like you, we would not have survived. Grazie Mille.

I’ve put together a superb mix of wines for your March allocation. Last month I released the 2014 Maestrale and Avennio. Both are amazing blends. The Bordeaux-style Maestrale is a blend of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. New is the 10% Malbec that was added. It adds some great weight.

The Rhone inspired Avennio took a different approach with the “14” vintage. Traditionally based on Mourvèdre, the “14” vintage is 70% Syrah. It is a bold, inky, brooding blend with only 30% Mourvèdre this year. It just won a Silver medal at the Hilton Head International Wine Competition in February.

Also included is my go-to wine for pizza and pasta. I can’t find a wine that better accompanies old-school red sauce than the 2014 Barbera.

The Wine Club allocations will be put together starting the week of March 19.

Remember that one of the benefits of being in the wine club at Gianni Buonomo is that you can choose the wines you would like to receive.

However, all wines listed on the website may not be available in a quantity to supply all of the wine club members. Should you wish to change wines for your March allocation you will need to establish an account.

For those of you receiving wine from us via UPS for the first time, you will note that we are reusing shipping containers. The box you receive might not be the prettiest, but it will be structurally sound and the wine is guaranteed for greatness.
